Going to hit Morriscastle later in the week for some flattie action if the weather calms down. What do you all reckon the chances are of a ray coming into darkness? The crab moult seems to be getting into full swing so am going to give it a shot. Its still quite early. Am I being overly optimistic?

You have a good chance, freshish sandeel combined with crab as far as you can cast down there at low water up or the start of the ebb is best.
However, next month you will start seeing Homelyn ray and Cuckoo ray moving into Ennereilly and there they are only about 60 yards out on the first sand bank there.

I hope to be down that way later in the week, probably Thursday so I will be hoping for some feedback, I am not sure if I will make Morriscastle as its another hour drive but at worst i will hit ennereilly or past Clogga, not sure of the name of the beach its past Kilmicheal point. Where can I buy crab as I dont have time to go and look for them.
