Very rough, large swell, lot of floating weed
Whoever fished it last nite left it in an awfull state, tangled rigs, paper, cans of monster and crab shells, legs everywhere.

I'd like to say I fish for food, which is essential, so yes? They can't stop you from gathering fresh food can they? and how often do you come into contact with other people when fishing anyway?

It's also about trying to take the pressure off the hospitals and emergency services. If you're out fishing and have an accident you are taking up their valuable time. Dont be selfish and just stay at home. We'd all like to be out fishing, just stay at home for now.

Accidents can happing in the kitchen,at the shop, in the garden and out walking to.

Keep on fishing I wish I could fish have not been able to in more than 3/4 years now but this site keeps me interested with all the banter and slagging

Yeah I went pier fishing yesterday with light spinning rod and some spinners & soft lures. Nothing to show for it though..

you must be good if you can fill your freezer with the fish you catch. What is your preferred fish to freeze.

I used to fish for mackerel with feathers when I was younger with my da, he never seemed interested in going for decent tasting fish though so now I'm getting back into it and targeting bass, pollack and flatfish to try and save myself some money on food since I'm poor. I plan on fishing 3-4 times a week this summer and try fill my freezer with decent fish. I'm determined.

Following the IFI guidelines I can fish my local lake for trout. Doesn't even come close to beach fishing but it's all in got within 2km so itll have to do for now

I saw that alright. That's the European bass laws but do we not have a different one or do we just go by that.

I see this from a while back
'In recreational fisheries, including from shore, in ICES divisions 4b, 4c, 7a to 7k, only catch-and-release fishing for European seabass shall be allowed. It shall be prohibited to retain on board, relocate, tranship or land European seabass caught in that area.’ The new regulation sees a consistent approach being applied throughout the Irish coastline.

Hi guys I do a fair bit of boat fishing on the west coast but I have a couple of beachcasters and when this terrible lockdown is over I was going to try and get a bass or even a tope from shore. Has anyone got pointers where I might try for both species without giving out exact marks cos Im hopeful that if Im in the right area I will work it out with trial and error.
