Hi all
I am planning on having a few long awaited casts around the Mayo coast during the festive period
Ive being away from fishing for a long time due to overseas work
However i aim to give a few old marks ago
My first one is a rock platform into sand ranging of depths from 10 to 20 meters
Can i be reminded of what i could expect around this time of the year on that sort of underwater terrain
Regards
Brian

Generally this time of year is codling and Whiting season although in recent years more so called out of season species are showing up such as bass. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding Whiting and dogs. Theres plenty of very small Whiting around. Also over sandy ground theres a good possibility of flounder and Daband if extremely lucky a ray or two!
