Myrtleville session

Postby Go Big or Go Home » Tue Sep 03, 2019 3:46 pm

Heading to Myrtleville with a spinning rod for a wrasse and pollock session this evening after work.

I had a look at maps and cant make heads or tails of the rocky coast line. Could be 20ft above the waves of 1ft.

Where along the rocks around Myrtleville is safe/easy to fish around sundown?

Plenty of mackerel bashers along that part of the coastline at the moment. So the pathways should be easy to find.

For another day either side of Roberts Cove is worth a look. Bring a second rod and try for the wrasse on a float baited with maddies or small hardback crab even a limpet from the rocks can work as well.

Cheers for that, had a great day on the pollock bout a dozen landed and released, another half dozen lost.

Savage sandeel produced the larger pollock and a 2inch white savage sandeel proved to be the favourite all day.

Nothing on the float but had 1 pollock on a pulley rig with mackerel.
