I've heard a good bit about congers from the quay at ballyhack? Not exactly east coast but Wexford regardless. Maybe the hook too but not the biggest I'd say. Going further east maybe Rosslare Harbour?

there are some surprisingly large congers available on Tramore at the slip at night - they appear to come in via the rocks on the far right as you face the sea.
Saw a 20 lber almost wreck a surfcaster - it had taken all three baits. Key is fishing around HW at night... and there's always the possibility of a bass.

HI Kieran
Kilmore quay harbor wall and mouth of harbor would be worth trying

I used to catch a good few from Cahore Pier, although that was nearly 30 years ago (feeling old just thinking about that).

Or from the rocks up at the Guillamene if you were Tramore bound.
