Ballybrannigan and Ballycroneen are a bit unpredictable and get a lot of weed on it at times.
Unlike the Youghal and Garryvoe beaches these two beaches are fishable in daylight.
Species would be flounder and dogs with coalfish after dark. Other species that turns up from time are small plaice, turbot, and rockling. Would not be a great cod venue. In summertime watch out for lesser weaver.
They were great bass venues a few years ago but got hammered by local trawlers who netted the ass out of the place. There were a couple of prosecutions which resulted in the usual petty fines.
