I fished Ferrypoint a few weeks ago the last hour of the ebbing tide. I was plagued with huge rafts of weed the entire time. Weather was very nice. Clear night with no wind.
What I'm wondering, is there any conditions in the estuary where weed is better than other times? Or is it pot luck.

Bottom and top of the tide. You would usually get in an hour either side of these.

Although the top of the tide can vary if there is a lot of rain water about.
