For those who liked to fish Ards Friary Pier when visiting Donegal, you should be aware that the pier was closed for safety reasons in 2017 and hasn't re-opened to date. As far as I know some work is required to repair some of the structure and the Friary doesn't have the funds to do the work. Its a great shame as it was a really lovely place to fish and a good spot for sea trout.

.....which doesn't stop visiting morons from clambering in to fish it with multiple rods each.

You can fish to the left of it or to the right of it. Either's good, although the channel has shifted a bit last winter to make the left a better option.

Thanks for the tip; I will be there in late July - mid August so I will try the left channel.
