Hunting Rays

Postby ColeyN » Wed Jun 20, 2018 12:48 am

Hi everyone,

New to the forum. I've just moved back home to Clare after many years away. I'm hoping to target some Rays over the coming weeks. I plan to try Fanore beach at night first. Has anyone fished it at night recently? any tips for me?

Thank you in advance

ive never seen a ray caught on fanore and only heard of one caught from it years ago
you would be better casting onto the sand from the rock platforms to the south

as said above the flat rocks after the lighthouse in black head would be a better spot but can get busy with mack bashers so evening on a rising tide would be best also a chance of other fish like small conger in near the rocks and Pollock, dogs and flats aswell
