Hello chaps, making my way down for my annual trip to Ireland for fishing. I'm a match fisherman back in the Uk fishing just about once a week, but there are a few cork species I'd like to add. I'm staying in Inchydoney, I really want a Gilthead bream, mullet and a few pollock. I appreciate local info, and I know it's guarded. So anything on PM stays on PM.
Regards,
Jake

Just got back from the area on Sunday 4th sep.
for lug dig at Ring Pier near Clonakilty, bass/gilt head try Red Strand and Inchydoney. Long Strand at low tide on east end spinning. Squid is very scarce do not use the Clonakilty tackle shop squid it is old and pink. Sand Eel is passable, squid u can obtain from the butchers across the road from the tackle shop, 1 days notice required. None in tackle shops

Thanks for the reply, the amount of people on here seem scarce these days, obviously I don't post much as I'm from the Uk, where abouts in Inchydoney would be the place to try for Gilts that is the species I really want to put the hours in for as we just don't get them at home. Bass fishing here in Norfolk is brilliant. 30 over 42cm in a session some days. I hear that Rosscarbery is good gilt territory?
