Hey I was wondering is it too early to spin for any type of fish, I know the mack don't come in for a good few months but is there anywhere that I might catch something? I'm based in Wexford if it helps
Thanks

I think you can spin for sea trout in the Wexford district from 17th March.
Better check the local regulations first.

Would it be worth spinning at Hook Head? When do the pollack come in?

They say you can spin for sea trout at the southern end of Duncannon beach, would it be worth a try or is it a load of sh*te? Thanks for the info

I don't know Duncannon beach but I know that any beach having a river flowing into it is worth trying for sea trout particularly near the river mouth.

The map shows two streams at the East end of the beach.
May be worth a throw there a couple of hours either side of HW.

Thanks, I've never spun from a beach before, only on the rocks at Hook Head, how would I go about doing it?

I would recommend more research on places to spin. Last year I've travelled several places and could not catch until summer. Especially South-East Cork.
