cullenstown area

Hi all,

Currently on paternity leave & starting to get cabin fever.

I'm looking at hitting cullenstown or that general direction next Monday or tues, can anyone give me a heads up on how the area is fishing??

I can just go catch a load of dogs in Wicklow if it's not worth the trip down,

Cheers,
Alby

was there last weekend stayed 2 days on the beach ,bait ,spinining ,float you name it catch nothing even no bite.
2 mark over there from very right under the metal barrier sand rocky mix
other left side the public toilet(if you look at the sea),if you have offroad car will be handy or else just 5 minutes walk to mark.
as I said I catched nothing however place looks promising ,specialy highy tide second place looks amazing for bass but did not fish there because I was camping with my son at the first beach which is you have to follow the best maintened road in Ireland :) however I will return the cullenstown no problem ,oh before I forget second mark I was talking about has small lagun I guess if you go to fishing that side I highly recommend do some spinning overthere,
carefull high tide both mark when tide comes ,tide really comes over the rock so safety first.
ps;if you google map search cullenstown pretty clear vision even before you go there.
good luck.

Fished it a couple of times last week with only 1 sea trout on the lure rod but the weed was awfully..did ok at kilmore on the burrow side over low water when weed allowed...plenty of decent bass...
