Hi there,
Can any one point me in the right direction, where I can download the legal size of fish caught with rod and line? or is it the same as the U.K. I will be coming to Eire is September and staying until the end of October and this time I will be brining my rod with me.

Many thanks in advance,
John. :)

There are no size restrictions with regard to the size of sea fish caught in Irish waters  except for bass where a minimum fish size of 40cm is in place and you can only keep 2 bass in any 24 hour period. http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/2006/en/si/0230.html

There are other rules regarding some species:
Sea Trout, requires a licences from the fisheries board and there could be local restrictions in some places.

Silver Ell (freshwater ell), new laws prohibit the fishing for these species.
