As above, just wondering what would be a good general snood length for flapper rigs for bass fishing over shallow clean ground sandy beaches with a bit or a surf running?

Your snoods need to be smaller than the distance between them so you wont tangle - so if its a 3ft rig you would probably have them at 10 inches, 2 less than the nearest swivel
Here is an example -I recommend image searching rigs, there are so many it's a great resource for trying to make them

1 up 1 down i find better for bass with 12-14inch snoods

I'd go for the 20" with a 1/0 hook.
Bass take their food on the run so make sure the point of the hook is not hidden in the bait.

Just on this topic what snood are we using?
For my bass im using a 40lb mono main with 12lb clear snoods, but worry i'm not heavy enough if smoothies takes an interest. Whats the chance of smoothies cutting the snood (from someone who has obvs never got one

)

Cheers lads, I've put two size 1s on the bottom snood for a pennell style hook arrangement for rag and then two 3/0s on the top snood for Razor. I'm using 20 lb fluro. Have a 1 up one 1 down tied up aswell. Guess it's just trial and error. I’ve heard long snoods for heavier tidal flow and shorter when less tide but sea is rough. Does this hold true?

Size 1s are perfect on flapper rigs will catch alot on it 20lb snoods in clear is what i would use
