Aughris head, Sligo July 2015

Gave Aughis Head a bash for some Mack yesterday. First time in years. With zero results! Plenty of ganets diving offshore, but just out of casting distance. Not sure what they were diving for but there was plenty of them. Must have been some sort of bait fish.

My holiday home was just 5 mins from Aughris Head, tried a few times during my stay but only managed pollock, not a single mack ! Best local mark was Finure, only 1 minute away which produced some nice pollock to 2 kilos.

Thanks might try again,have a drive around see if I can find nice spot somewhere
