My vote is ABC tackle off Capel st. Great prices and Allen (86) gives some of the best best advice you can get.
I saw this nice vid on YouTube about Allen - you won't get this online

Can't fault Dan never let me down for anything I was looking for. Great shop full of gear. As Dan is on my way home for from digging lug and maddies I'm prone to call into him at strange hours. Never a moan always happy to open up.

+1 For Halfway Angling and Dan Lynch, great selection of gear and a gentleman too. One winter evening I arrived just after he locked up and he happily opened up again- it was the difference between me being able to go cod fishing that weekend and not.
