Hello
I was wondering would it be wise to bait up some lug and mack Sausage rolls (bait basically) and freeze for easy use when im heading fishing - bearing in mind both are previously frozen.
Would they be any good or would they just fall apart on me after being frozen 2/3 times??
Thanks

if it was fresh lug you used, they are likely to fall apart after freezing 3 times - but if youve no other bait no harm in trying

Don't know if this will help, will get around bait breaking up and you can put pretty much anything in, but they are a bit big. Have used them on pennel rigs from a boat, mixed results.

I can't view that vid but I assume it's a squid filled with lug?
That would seem a good idea alright as squid is good and tough and would protect the lugs
I'm sure I've seen this technique used on uk sea angling videos on YouTube

another trick is PVA glue which dissolves in water, slowly combined with the very thin tubular gauze that they use on finger dressings... pain in the a**e to do but very effective, can be frozen down and cut on the day into appropriate lengths depending on the hook size. Store in a thermos.

Shortcircuit, that's exactly the one.
Buy a box of whole calamari squid. empty out the hood, stuff in the lug (or mackerel, or whatever) tie a bit of elastic around it to keep it in.
You end up with a bait about the size of your thumb, handy for freezing etc. Puncture it once or twice when fishing it to let the goodness out.
