Advice on buying a new reel

Sun Oct 05, 2014 11:39 pm

Anytime i get a big fish when i am reeling in i have trouble turning the reel handle , i always use cheap fixed spool reels that cost about 20 quid
Can anyone reccommend a good reel thats not too expensive , my budget would be 100 euro
thanks

I presume u are beach fishing I personally use a pen surfmaster 7000 series loaded with 15 lb Diana sensa and a 60 lb shock leader. For all my beach pier n surf fishing and never had an issue with it this reel fits into your price range at around 80 euro well reliable and th money hope this helps

if your using cheap or small reels pump and wind in the slack in. take the pressure of the reel handle and its gears this should be done with and reels and rods use the rod just as much as the reel ud be saprized the fish u can land on small reels and rods
