If your down east cork try derek in the Guileen Arms pub. Drive through Whitegate stay left at Trabolgan holiday village and stay on that road until you get to the village. He got a fine selection of assorted small shads and fishing gear in the pub.

There's a dangerous combination - a pub that sells tackle. I can barely restrain myself in a tackle shop when sober. I'd hate to see what I'd end up with if I could drink while I shopped......

My Grandparents come from Cork, this doesn't surprise me

Ireland must be the only country in the world where you can buy fishing tackle and get drunk at the same time 8) 8)

Can you imagine telling the wife or girlfriend " I'm going down to the pub to get the crabs"

Don't suppose the barmaids would be to happy either if the customers ask "have you got the crabs yet" in front of the tourists

If you do a bit of Trout fishing nearly all the pubs you end up in, in the west of Ireland sell tackle. After a few pint you nearly always end up with something you don't need in the pocket...
