jellyfish invasion

was out with the dogs yesterday around woodstown area in waterford and man was there some amount of jellyfish washed up on the beach not small ones either biggest i saw was like the lid off a dustbin is this a sign maybe of heat or something ? any1 know

Do you have any pictures? By the sounds of it, given the size, they could be 'barrel jellyfish'. They are normally only seen in Rosslare, Carmarthen and Tremadoc Bays but have turned up in many more places this year. These guys would be interested in your sighting regardless of the species.
