Coastal Erosion...has it affected your fishing spots?

Hi am just curious if people on here would like to share any stories that has affected there fishing spots,after the storms that battered our coasts,i know some of my own spots have changed dramatically,but i'd like to hear other folks view on this and if it has made there fishing any better/worst?I know we cannot see instant results but maybe by the end of the year people will catch less or more??!And maybe they may even catch the big one that they have longed for all these years?
And not only affecting fishing but access to spots obviously not named unless they care to?I'm glad if fellow users will try and make this work because i see alot of posts about trawlers etc fishing and maybe if these storms have cut them off who knows our shore and in-shore fishing may get a little better or worst?

Thanks for that reply Jim,Very intresting read as I myself am from Dublin and usually fish the eastcoast and southern coasts I've not done much fishing in kerry where that article highlights extreme erosion and some quite crazy pictures from the aftermath,but as it is stated who knows what some peoples spots hold be it for digging bait or fishing,and my point been the very same some people may benefit from some strutures been moved exposed underwater which could be a haven for new life and may bring in some intresting catches over the summer months when we can all venture out and fish after a harsh winter?!
I myself and a friend have been chatting about this and we agree on something that we have to go try a special mark yet again after a year of not returning due to the fishing been poor and concentrating on fishing for other species,but maybe after this weather as we've had and noticed some changes before the storms over the years to this particular mark were hoping it has changed for the better.

Half the south beach in arklow is gone! And in corbawn lane in shankill I had Afew spots that where clear sand between the rough ground now and that has gone. Although killiney seems much the same at least the once I fished it this year, perhaps others may know better

I have been fishing one particular mark for about 40 years, know it like the back of my hand, gave me my first Bass and my first double figure Bass and is always a banker for some great fish from now until November and during this time I might run into 4 or 5 anglers, but due to the storms it has been completely wiped out and lost all of it's structure, not one single rock or boulder left, amazing really what nature can do and I was quite gobsmacked to see everything covered by sand at low tide. I fished it last weekend again in the hope I somehow had a bad dream, but it was a reality and I think I will call it a day on that mark.

one spot i fish has changed a lot,i am getting a few new species at the mark,i got rays,whiting,huss and cod which i never had there before
