pully snood

have tried lots of snood lines on pully rigs and most end up in knots , amnesia seems to be about the best ,not interested in fluro as i find it too unreliable for knots and abraision anyone find any wonderfull alternatives?its for hounds, bass and ray so needs to be good all rounder?

What breaking strain are you using.

I use 20lb Berkley Trilene Floro :( and don't seem to have many problems with it. Then I don't suffer from a million pin whiting playing a game of tag with my snoods

I got a role of Grauvell shock leader yesterday roger in 50lb, it's nice and soft and knots down really tight. There is a 30lb in it that I'm going to try for pully snoods. I'd say it will do the job nicely. I'm with you on the Fluro. Horrible stuff.

I find if you use a pulley beed I get less tangles. I use a 18" snood amnesia line & 50lb body leader.

I use a big barrel swivel and 8 mill beads I find smaller ones block with sand ,the barrel swivel holds the snood out from the rig body, and yes Donal it whiting and rockling chewing away on big baits that and a big surf that seem to feck up the snood!to be honest a two snood cascade rig with Pennel's works better if the sea is too rough!

Ball bearing swivels will help, amnesia is as good as you'll find.
