Dun Laoghaire Pier

Could anyone give advice on fishing the pier please ?
Areas and what fish to expect.

Second elbow at the back of the west you will get dogs and some flats at the end you will pick up whiting pouting and dabs. The east pier at the back up the top can be good dogs whiting and pollock. During the summer you will pick up macs

Not a great time of the year to fish Dun Laoghaire pier.
The new pier in Greystones might be a better option, same species on offer, type Greystones into the search tab at the top of the page, should give you plenty of info on species, bait and rigs.

Get yourself a few mackeral an fish for the congor off the back of the west pier after 1st to 2nd elbow dont cast far

Fished west pier on Monday night. A good few dabs, one pollock and a million whiting. Got so bad with the whiting ended up using them as live bait.
