Try bottom fishing ballycotton pier after dark. You will almost certainly catch dogfish with a few whiting also showing up at this time of year. There are conger around too, use big mackerel baits on big hooks close in. The deepwater quays at youghal and cobh will produce cod with crab being the best bait. Heavy grip weights are needed as the tide runs strongly. Uptide leads work well.
The beaches around east cork will also produce codling, flounder and bass. Hope this helps and good luck :)

east ferry is an unforgiving place to fish,it will take all the terminal tackle you can give it  i still go down sometimes tho...just to see :)
preghane point in kinsale throws up a variety of fish..conger,wrasse,coalies,pollock,mackerel in the summer, cod the odd flounder and once i had a garfish that took my bait when i was reeling in to change it :D fishes well in most tides.
can be a bit dodge in bad winter weather, not life-jacket dodge but dont head down on your own kinda dodge,if ya know what i mean.

you could try ferry point during daylight fish to the left of the point for bass, flounder, coalie, and the chance of a decent cod lug and crab are best there
