Im going on a trip down to west cork around mid November will inshore pollock still be on the feed or will they be migrating to spawn, or would I be better off targeting bass?

Are you sure there's no bass around I have lots of magazines of best ways to target winter bass from the shore?

It's just been a poor year for Bass, I'd go with what Tight Lines suggested, peeler for cod! That's what I'll be doing myself:-)

East Cork and West Waterford mainly, hopefully a good winter season of cod will cancel out the bad bassing!!

I've had Pollock right through the winter from the shore. I'd fish for them up to end of Oct most year's as after that the weather can make the rock marks a bit too dangerous to fish safely. Most of the Pollock that I would catch in winter would be caught on lugworm/mack/razor fished on the bottom when targeting other fish.

Thanks lads asked my experienced cousin the question and he said it all depends on the richness of feeding in the area and some marks are fishable through to January or even February.

had my biggest cod of that year that night off the same beach,so i'd chance me arm somewhere that throws up a few cod and a few bass...both cod and bass will take 3/o-5/0 traces with full peeler baits
