If you had a choice between a Century Tip Tornado Super Match and a Zziplex Vmax F2, which would you go for?

im not a big fan of century and i do have a zziplex which i am very pleased with ....but on this one i would have to say that the century tt super match is one of the nicest rods ive cast with yet! i'd love one myself!
i cant give a fair comment on the vmaxf2 as the one i cast with was built for multipier and it had a fixed spool attached at the time.
the tt super match gives superb bite detection but still has loads of power in reserve for tackling big fish.

the f2 is 13ft 8" and has a good bite detection nad alough i think the tip is very soft for casting it may suit others, the tip tornado is 13ft,very similar to the f2 but may have a little more back bone to it.both rods would only suit clean ground and very light ruff.if you want something with a bit of power try the tip tornado sport or the zziplex 4500shpm,should do the job nicely but at the end of the day it,s down to what you want the rod for and your preference.

I ordered the VMax F2, but got tired of waiting for it and tired of second thoughts! So I've now oredered the Zzplex Synchro Primo! That'll be with me next week. Then all I need is some sea!! Now how much is that flight to Cork??

Got the century tip tornado match last week and although I haven't used it in anger yet it feels like a nice blank, while certainly not being floppy its not too poker like either.

I had both. Recently sold the supermatch as I just couldn't get on with it!
Now the F2 is another story :D Off the ground with a 5oz lead, watch it go. You could nearly have time to go bait another trace before it lands!! Absolutely superb. 8) Great bite detection and a great all rounder. I recently bought the LT 14 so hopefully it will be as good.
If I had the choice it would be the F2 without question everytime, but then that's my own opinion, someone else might like the supermatch better.

Hi
I can only comment on the VMax F2 having had a pair of them. They are great clean ground match rods, which are very user friendly, great bite detection and a pleasure to cast with, very slim blank also, overall brilliant, as long as they are used for what they are intended.

My dilemma is that I will be doing more field casting than fishing, so I want a rod that will be good for distance on the field and then be used for fishing, rather than an out and out fishing rod. I also have a reel tuned just for casting as it would be too much of a handful for fishing.
I've no doubt the F2 would be good for fishing as I believe it was built for fishing rather than casting on a field. I'm only just getting into the field work and it does seem to be a different ball game! I don't want an out and out tounament casting telegraph pole, but I do want to develop without breaking my arms!

The F2 is well capable of putting a 150g lead 260yards on the field. I have an F1 which I bought recently and that is a much better casting tool, but the problem with most powerful rods is that you never will get to really exhert it to its full potential, unless of course you put pure force into the cast and still you probably won't exhert it fully. I can put a lead 230 yards over grass with an F2 but could not hit 210 with an F1 as its simply to powerful for me!
You be surprised what backbone some rods actually have, so bottom line is don't get too hung up on pokers, having never casted the primo I can't comment on it but make sure you can bend whatever rod you buy!
