Hi I would rig it a very basic way there is many different way. My way you need , a bullet weight a swivel 20lb Fluor line. Jelly worm. Slide the weight up the main line tie on a Swivel tie on 2/3 ft of line then jelly . This way the weight can carry the jelly out on the cast. And the jelly works on its way back in , let the jelly hit the bottom and jerk rod when on the retrieve . . This is how I do it . As I said many other ways. ( you will loose gear so bring plenty ) . And if your not loosing gear you in the wrong ground. Good luck.

A way i reduce losing gear is to rig the worm weedless. just go to you tube and type in rigging weedless or texas style. that is where i got it from and i rarely lose plastics now.

Second that!

3/0 or 4/0 with any good slug or worm, firetails are good for pollock round these parts, the trick is to slide the worm up over the eye of the hook so it's more central, I've missed a few pollock bites by having the hook up too far in the worm
Another style i like is wacky rigging, usually use it for jigging off the boat but you could give it a try! :)

Generally though if the pollock are there you won't have any problems.

And make sure you are around nice, rocky kelp ground. Firetails are very good and cheap. If you want to go buck wild try a savage gear sandeel in pearl i think. a bit more expensive but if the pollock are feeding the craic and frenzy is mighty.
