3/0 or 4/0 with any good slug or worm, firetails are good for pollock round these parts, the trick is to slide the worm up over the eye of the hook so it's more central, I've missed a few pollock bites by having the hook up too far in the worm![]()
Another style i like is wacky rigging, usually use it for jigging off the boat but you could give it a try!
Generally though if the pollock are there you won't have any problems.
