Tralee/Fenit/Waterville

Well lads, heading to down to Kerry at the wknd and will be fishing Friday around the SPA and Sunday out in Waterville, was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to get some fresh peeler and lug. I know landers in Tralee sell bait but its always frozen and id rather have fresh stuff, weather I have to dig it or buy it I don't mind. PMs welcome, phone numbers protected 8) cheers

I don't know about crab but ya can dig loads of lug at the SPA when the tide is out and also at the windmill on the tralee to dingle road... if bass are the objective you won't need crab as lug is the key bait for them in this area and will almost always outfish crab and sandeel and mackrel will take any other species such as ray etc ... so a stock up on frozen baits from landers and a few freshly dug lug will see you well prepared .....

It shouldn be too late for stingers the SPA is a good venue at night for them seen them up to twenty odd pound landed from around there fresh mackrel seems to be the bait for them and ye crab usually comes out on top but down that region strings of lugworm kill for bass

Ye would be mad not to pack a lure rod and a few lures too. Nothing flashy required. SG Sandeel, Kilty, Feed shallow etc...
