Hi lads just looking for some advice on the lrf gear , what would be the best BUGGET lrf set up ? Rods , reels , line make and braking strain and what lures work best for you, I know I'm prity much asking you to go out and catch the fish aswell but I'm a total noob to this type of fishing and want to give it a go, so any help at all would be much appreciated :)
Thanks Paul.

The tronix pro rods are good value. I got the 3-12g rod and have had a few fish on it and its good craic. I paired it with a catana 2500 and stuck on some 5lb braid.
The smaller 0.5-7g rod would be better off with a 1000 sized reel tho. I should probably have gotten this rod and might yet as its so cheap.
For lures i got a few small cheap shads and worms and got a pack or pink power isome.
Halfway angling, http://www.tackledirectireland.ie has a good selection of gear.

Here's a starter kit from art of fishing.

You can get similar kit in Irish tackle shops for same price. Go for fluorocarbon straight through to save a bit of money and you don't need to tie leaders on. It's still a sensitive setup for close in work.

Check out LRF video on Totally Awsome Fishing on you tube. Paul Harris from the Beara Peninsula gives a run through of set up and tackle. Great advice on LRF
