Multiplier Rod Extensions

When casting with the reel down the butt there is obviously less leverage when retrieving..
Are there only certain rods which have extensions that can be bought with them or do people do jobs on their rods to enable an extension to be fitted?
Asking because I haven't seen rods with butt extensions on the market?

When you remove the butt cap on most quality beachcasters you can insert what's known as a reducer to give you the extra butt length. I know reducers are available for most zziplex models from efishsell but not sure how easy it is to get others makes.

you can get them from conoflex for about 20 squid. if you are thinking of using one have someone whip the last two inches of the butt because on some rods the pressure from reeling in a big fish can split the butt
