Springs or Silicone tubing

Hi,
which one of them do you use on the snood/mainline attachement to avoid snood stretching when casting a clip down rig? I tried cigarettes lighter springs and they worked very good but haven't tried silicon tubing yet.

1 spring just below the top snood swivel.
As the srt springs are prone to rusting I leave about 10cm of line between the 2 swivels this will allow enough line to change the spring more than once saving you having to scrap the whole trace.

Could you use the spring from a pen?

a spring from a pen would fall over the crimp unless you put a big bead infront of your crimp .............................believe me i thought of that 2 :D :D :D :D :D

if you cut the srt springs in half they still do the same job.

2 for the price of 1 :)

As I said, the cigarettes lighter springs work very good and you don't need a big bead against the crimp (I use 3 mm beads). The only issue is that you need two springs (2 cms each one,4 cms total length)

I do the same myself! You could use stop knots under the swivel and bead to make it easier to adjust if necessary, I use two underneath so that it stays in place when casting.

You're right, someone is bound to ask and that's a funny answer :D .Now out of joke, someone told me that the Gemini SRT springs are stainless steel made.I haven't tried them yet, have you?
