It's a very shallow beach alright, best fished late summer to end of October for Flats and a chance of Bass. Not the most productive of beaches, but you can catch if your there at the right place at the right time which has never happened to me

Very very true

On the plus side.....if your northside and need to wet a line its handy and ya can park right on the beach, just as long as you don't expect to catch..........go out confident, as always lol. Fish there fairly regular off the beach........13cm flounder since January the best so far, hung itself on a size 1

..........any fish there is a bonus but still confident, persistence and patience, persistence and patience !!! or just plain stupid lol

Fair play mate. Would love to catch something decent on that beach. Maybe a good surf late in the season would attract some fish from the channel between dollymount and Sutton sailing club

the beach will have decent flounders on it- usually in the last two weeks of april with numbers increasing in may with schoolies and the odd eel at times. have had coalies, dogs, mullet and small whiting and codling depending on time of year. the ebb is a bit fast to fish so low water up can be good. never had any great numbers of fish off it but there is the odd good flounder over 40cm and bass of a couple of pounds. lug and rag usually does the job.
