Are you sure they're 'Signals'?? They may be native ones which may be protected... Even if they're not it would seem a shame to use them for bait when crabs are so easy to catch...

nope never even seen one in the flesh they are good eating though ,fresh mec is prob the no1 tope bait !i think i,d boil em up and eat them first mac is much cheaper

To be Honest I have not seen them in Ireland, I am from England where they are abundant to the extreme and I assumed that they were over here, My Brother uses them to great effect in the U.K to a point where his club asked him not to use them as he had access to them and other members didnt.

I dont think we have Signals here, any I have ever seen are native. They're a lot smaller..
