Around Dublin south north Wicklow beech fishing

Hello lads new to site I do a bit of fishing sea and coarse but sea fishing usually around court town area heading out this Friday looking for a spot around Dublin south north Wicklow will be using lug worm and lamprey I have in freezer. no any decent spots this time of year was thinking south beach greystones.any advice welcome cheers.Derek

A few of us are fishing kilcoole on Friday night to thin out the whiting population and hopefully get a few dogs.

mac is working well around greystones / kilcoole if you are going i,d buy a few frozen ones if you want good results

Went out very late lastnite met my mate at south beech . the place is a tackle night mare should of gone to use lads in kilcoole honestly didn't relies how close it til this morning is only ten minitues away from south beech arrived at 10 left at two lost eight traces caught one rocking and had something big which took line and then snagged and broke off that's it in four hours .had a curry as well was the highlight.in fairness my Moldovan friend was first time beech fishing never again kilcoole next time.What is under the water in greystones a castle or something some Amount of snags.Other question what exit is kilcoole from motorway or is it just through greystones need a satnav.How use kilcoole lads get on

North easterly wind put the mockers on things. Few whiting only in kilcoole very poor.

There is an old pipe on the south beach in greystones, a mountain of leads in it I'd say!

I have always heard that Kilcoole is meant to be a really well known fishing beach but I have blanked on all of the three times I have fished there. I have used a range of baits on 3 hook flappers including mack,lug,rag,sandeel and peeler. I usually catch with these combinations on other beaches but I have yet to take anything in from Kilcoole. What tide does it fish better on?

How did you get on in Kilcoole. I had no luck there over the weekend?

The south run on all the Wicklow beaches usually fishes better. Its a very bad time of year for these beaches that coupled with the East winds will put paid to any fish that might have been there. June onwards will see an increase in catches on later tides going into the dark.
