FLOUNDER fishing info required please

Sun Feb 24, 2013 3:58 am

i am hoping to target flounder on the fly this year and was just hoping to get peoples' opinions on where they consider the best place to get them....
i really need a place that holds a good head of fish, and, is shallow enough to wade i.e. suitable for fly fishing

im from Co.Antrim but i am prepared to travel anywhere in Ireland to have a go at this
so where's the best place to target them?!

PMs warmly welcome
thanks in advance

ps. this is a once-off and i only intend to fish for a day or 2
any PMs disclosing private/secret marks will be treated in strictest confidence
all fish will be handled carefully and all fish will be returned

All you need to look for is an estuary or clean open water. Use light tackle and worm baits are best.

couldnt agree more davey, thanks for the response. im just looking for that particularly good place to target them. i intend to fish for them on the fly  so its pretty important that i get a concentration of fish and a suitable place where i can wade near them....

so ive got South Wexford sorted (Katts Strand, Ardcavan, Bannow etc) from this link: http://www.anirishanglersworld.com/inde ... o-wexford/
so are there any other places whereby people might swear-by..??
bearing in mind i will be fly fishing then i will prefer shallower water and good options for wading....
thanks again
