last year ballyquin and surrounding beaches had large numbers of juvenile codling -quater to 1 ib weight-,cod can grow 2-3ibs in a year and with fish being creatures of habbit i'm expecting good numbers to return . already in youghal bay many fish recorded mainly 2-4 ibs, as i expected. these fish were not there last year! WATCH OUT FOR THE DRY COLD SPELLS , night time best.b/quinn deadly for big coalies up to 3 ibs around now.also big bass haunt after s/w gale-best 2nd or 3rd day when wind dies and motion is still in the water as it's clearing. if i can help or advise u further i'd be glad to-many years experience of these area's
