Anyone using an Ian Golds IG 8000 reel ?

Just wondering what they are like and would you reccomend it ? I haven't met anyone around here using one yet, so I've heard no feedback on them. Cheers

iv,e been using this reel for the past 2 yrs and i cant fault it. it comes with 2 spare spools and the build quailty is great. i use it on my scratching rod mostly but recently have used it over rough ground were you need to pump fish out of the snags and it never let me down. great value for the price and in my opinion far better than a lot more expensive reels on the market. hope this helps

I'm seriously considering one as a rough ground reel myself. Seems good value alright. It will definitely be streets ahead of the grinding Penn surfmaster 750 it'll be replacing anyway !!
