Galway area 18.10.12

Wed Oct 10, 2012 3:07 pm

Guys

I am in Galway with work on the 18th October and am due to finish around 4.30pm and I am looking for a mark to fish the rising tide (HW @ 1952).

Not too bothered if its a beach, estuary or rock mark.

Any PM's would be welcome and marks treated with respect.

Joe

You could try the beach at silver strand, should be a few flatties about this time of year. It's just on the road to Barna opposite Barna church.
Tight lines.

40mins, hmm, depends on the traffic in Galway, but if you'd risk a few penalty points for speeding you might be able to get down to a certain North Clare deep water rock mark, just after Fanore, drop into the tackle shop in the village (opposite the pub) and you might get all the finer details if you behave yourself properly (don't forget to leave one on the tab for me in the pub)

I left a lot of traces there over the years and I was casting more than 30 meters, seriously snaggy close to shore. I think the bast mark is the far off headland in that picture and a lob of 130 yards would be more like it. Check out sea angler on safari on youtube.

8) fair play gf, I would certainly avail of this most generous offer if I were you. And, to be honest, for the sake of driving a few minutes more you're most likely to catch your target species - well... all up to you now

your right clifden is in galway but 50 miles from the city,i should be around on the 18th as i will be digging bait on the low tide, low water is at 13:45 and its 0.4m high tide is at around 20:05 5.2m so it should be good for a few ray
i will send you some information on how to get to the mark but i will try to be around to meet you and show you to the mark as it will be quicker for you

pm me your number and i will give you a ring
