Loose spigot

Mon Oct 08, 2012 4:04 pm

Hi all,

The spigot on one of my rods is now so worn that it has no grip at all. Anyone had a similar problem recently and what did they do to address it?

I've no intention of getting a hacksaw out so don't even suggest it! Would also prefer a more long term cure rather than something very short-term like using candlewax.

If you haven't tried this yourself can you recommend someone who could do it for me?

Thanks all,
Steve.

Superglue!! A real permanent solution :D

but on a serious note, if you have a good head of hair, pull a few strands off and place it over the male end and then insert, this is an ol' Irish trick I've learned from a mate!! If you happen to be bold - try grow a beard

For a cheap option try carbon spray, just used it on my tecklon and it works a treat. Needs reapplied every now and again but I can live with that.
