Lads I just bought a used rod but the tip ring was a bit bent and the inner guide cracked, can the guide be replaced or does the ring need to be replaced

Just replace the lot , it's very easy just heat it with a lighter and it will pull straight off, most tackle shops will have new ones just make sure to get the same size, melt a bet of hot glue into the new one reheat and stick it on, as easy as that

I thought it looked whipped on? I'll check again then sounds easy enough if not, is there a strength preference etc? It's a fuji on an Abu suveran uptider?

Call in to Waterford angling and outdoor with the rod and they'll normally fix it there and then and you should have change from a tenner! They have a selection of tip eyes.

put some hot glue on the tip and in the new tip ring so it oozes out when you push the new one on for a tight fit not enough glue can result in a snap when under pressure

get a second tip ring for a spare and fill it with glue and keep it in your box
then if you ever break one while out fishing it's a quick fix and your session ain't over
