shakespeare tidewater 30l...

hey lads..
i picked myself up a shakespeare tidewater 30l at the tackle show last febuary,for the handiest sum of 25 bucks,just wondering if any of ye have one and how it casts for ye..
twas in me tackle box since then and i took it out the driveway there the other night,and low and behold,she casts better than my sloshy20...what a a shock i got! me auld fellla bought one for deep sea use,and never cast it either,he reckoned first off that it was a deep sea reel and i a mulitplier,so i had me worries of birdies when i cast it..but twas grand,smooth out..
had a sconce online and the yanks seem to like em for catfish and rate them (just behind the abu's)well, for such a cheap reel,was just wondering does anyone use them here? and how they get on with them in our water...
