Hi all

I am due to start my holidays in west Clare at the weekend and i am just wondering can anyone point me in the direction of beach marks that are fishing well, also which baits ye find working the best. I have fished fanore in recent times and haven't found it very productive :( cheers in advance

Unfortunately, fishing in West Clare have been poor recently be it in beach or rock marks.

Sorry if this doesn't help at all.

Maybe you can try another area... :( :( :(

Fanore is North Clare, West Clare would be more Lehinch downward to Quilty, Kilkee and around there.
Still doesnt change the fact that fishing is very slow for the time of year. Very few mackerel in Galway Bay even some charter skippers struggling to find them. Little to no pollack showing around Doolin, perhaps caused by the resident dolphin.
The weather has not been kind to us and water quality has been made even worse by the red tide
