Advice on some tackle

Thu Jun 28, 2012 1:29 pm

Hi all, getting back to some sea fishing after a few years off!

I need to get the following setups and would like some pointers please.

Rod and Reel for shore conger and maybe some wreck conger, will a 30LB class be fine for both? I may want to use it for Shark also or would I be better getting something else for that?

What would be good for some beach fishing, probably for bass?

I have a spinning setup for pollack and mackerel so that's sorted.

I want to buy good stuff so money isn't really an issue.

Also last question, I like to keep cash in the Irish economy but will I get stuff way cheaper from the UK mail order and if so who is good?

From your other post i presume your in cork? If so call to dan lynch in halfway tackle. He'll sort you out. Sound guy with a well stocked shop who knows his stuff and wont sell you anything you dont need.

Hi my computer is broke I can't upload photos to my iPad at the moment.
As the lads were saying halfway angling is very good there is also the outdoor and angling center at the kin sale road roundabout or Peter horne in blarney for the top of the range rods like Zipplex or century . Or there is Paul Mason on this site that is selling Ian golds rods
That are in my opinion faultless and at half the price of the other rods.
