If you want decent fishing you need to head south, wexford is trowing up nice fish...

If you dont mind if you catch or not then try your old locations, most of the east coast has become doggie heaven so if you want doggies then any beach, but allot of the beaches will give you a chance at flounder... If its smuts your after then wexford.

When the weather calms down (if it ever does) try float fishing any of the well known piers; Greystones, Howth or even Wicklow pier; they all should throw up mackerel or some mini species. Plenty of info how to set up a float rig online.
Bottom fishing from Greystones or Wicklow pier will get ya small flats and doggies and ya never know; the odd surprise catch.
As Roger said; Beach fishing is prob best you head to Wexford, the beaches around the Courtown area are worth a shot, or the likes of Killoughter, Kilcoole, Greystones in Wicklow the kingdowm of the dogfish.

best of luck

If you want to try Killoughter make sure you dont mind getting your car damaged... There's a lane way that has to be the worst road in Ireland.
