smooth hounds of the shore northen ireland

probably a stupid question but has anyone ever caught one of northern irelands coast from the shore they come as far north as scotland so why not here i also read on another site that they have been caught in newcastle co down on the mussel beds any info much apprieciated!

Only one I've ever heard of caught on rod and line was on Paul Grahams boat "Lady Karen", out of Portrush a few years ago. If you really want one, you'd be better heading to Wexford for a few days :lol: :lol:

smooth hounds are very pickey about where they hang out they tend to go for the more cosmapolitan areas of coastline.
