leathery crabs

hello all was out this morning getting a few crabs plenty about but there were loads of leathery fellas just wondering do ye use them or are they any good must have left off 25 of them.cheers

and is it only east coast they can be caught i never heard of them being caught here in west waterford

they can be used but dont hold as much scent as peelers n poppers,if theres a mass moult on hounds will take crab at any stage but best to stick with peelers n poppers
