is it ok to clip them the rod bag straight on to it with bungee spring ties??or is there additional things i can put on the roof bars for extra strenght and security

For the back of your van: www.astauto.com.au/vanmats for a professional job, or www.mayomats.com for a DIY job. Best of luck with the van anyway!

What van hav ye got. Take out the panel if ye can behind seats. Should screw out wit star heads. That's what I done. Hav a Nissan. Rods go down middle of van and into middle of seats. If ye know anyone in a school or works in a hygiene service to get the big mats wit rubber back in them. There great. Easy to Hoover and ye can power wash them too

Hi Brian, if your gonna use a roof rack i would get a 8-9ft length of 4-6" waste pipe that you can put a cap on both ends. But what i done to my merc vito was cut a Hole in the bulkhead below the drivers seat and still used the waste pipe for a bit of protection. Good luck with the new van anyway...
