Fishing Clare - some advice

Tue May 08, 2012 10:37 pm

I may get be over to Clare a few times this year through work and of course will have my rods in tow :D

Can any of you lads on that side of the country give me some advice on the following:

When tide is rising, what direction along the coastline is it moving, r to l or l to r?
What are the ideal wind directions and speeds for fishing?
If it has blown up stormy, say force 4/5, how many days does it take for the sea to settle?
How mindful should I be of swells?

Thanks for the help.

There are some beach marks in Clare that you need to really be careful... waves are deadly on those marks....

Can anybody advise on safe marks where I could be accompanied by a 10 year old child? Not too fussy on what species are available.
