As you all probably know im quite new to shore fishing. Just wondering where a good place for a novice to start fishing up the Antrim Coast that is easy accessed. not a TACKLE GRAVEYARD and where there is a good chance of a ctach close in (casting not up to scratch)
Suggestions please

you will catch some fish using these baits but with the addition of lug and rag you will catch a hell of a lot more.

dont know about lug as i normally dig my own but if you are looking rag just ring any of the tackle shops like belfast angling centre shore road, angling supplies larne, theres one in carrick as well.ring in advance to book it for the day and time you want it so you arent left disappointed

Tight Lines. Think you need to order first though.

The fishing shop in Carrick is now closed down :(
Angling supplies in Larne are pretty good for bait, it's pretty rare for him not to have spare ragworm. ( Tel. 02828 276634 )
Also stocks Ammo frozen bait so bases well covered.
You could also consider Waterfoot pier at Red Bay, now that summer is over there should be alot more space ( and less time spent dodging weights )
I fish up around this area quite a bit so if you fancy meeting up PM me and will try to sort something out.

dont use shore road bait poor very poor rag. Alister at tight lines albertbridge road is best. Also larne again has bait most times.
KEEP EYE OPEN FOR NORTHERN MEETS AND COME ALONG I BEEN AT IT A YEAR NOW AND THANKS TO THESE LADS ME FISHING PROGRESSED IN ONE YEAR TO ME NOW USING MULTIPLIERS AND MY KNOWLEDGE OF SEA GRAFT MUCH MORE ADVANCED THAN IT SHOULD BE AFTER 1 YEAR.
