Was just wondering if there are any decent marks in Little Island, I work there and if there was a decent mark it would be very handy for me to head to after a day in the office.
Seeing as its probably estuary type conditions I imagine it might be good for flatties, would that be right?
PMs welcome, tight lines

I was also wondering about this and also at the back of great island on the midleton side as I pass most days.
Cheers, Alan.

This whole area was very heavily netted the last two years, which has affected things big time from what ive heard especially on the bass front but its still possible to nab the odd fish.Never heard too much on the flounder front but anywhere theres a bit of mud

then a few should be around.

i have heard of bass being caught on spinners n plastics, just down the road east of little island, usually in the summer months, its a pure slob bank, under the second bridge after the carrigtwohill exit if your heading towards town (city),have spun there myself on the coming high a couple of mornings but no joy,i think its too early in the year yet...great place to grab a bag of mussels for bait...
i know there is a beach at the back of little island if you keep going past the church and stay on that road you`ll end up there, duna think its fishable i`v never tried,it always seems full of weed..

As above, fishes better when the water gets warmer. Better chance of catching a flounder than a bass.
Fishing the mussel bed about an hour after low water might help. If you are mad enough to go after mullet there is no shortage of them there.
